Alan Rufli is an Anglican priest in the Church of Ireland. He was appointed a voluntary Anglican priest Chaplain in 2010. In 2013, began working in Cloverhill Remand Prison on a non remunerated basis. He was appointed an part-time Irish Prison Service Chaplain in 2016. Since 2016, he has worked in Cloverhill and Wheatfield prisons. He also served as interim Head Chaplain in 2019-2020.
As well as serving as a Prison Chaplain, Alan is a Rector of a Church of Ireland parish on the outskirts of Dublin. Alan is involved in a number of central church committees and has represented the Church of Ireland at a number of Anglican Communion conferences and events. He has also served on the International Anglican Liturgical Consultation steering committee organizing worldwide conferences on a biannual basis.
